How is this different from assisted living?
Elite Senior HomeShare is not assisted living. Residents live independently, manage their own medications, cook their own meals or use optional meal prep services and do not receive medical care or personal assistance. It is a perfect alternative for seniors who don't need medical supervision but want companionship and lower living costs.
Who is a good fit for shared senior housing?
This service is ideal for seniors who are independent and mobile, live alone now but want companionship, are looking to downsize, want to reduce monthly housing expenses, feel safer living with others and want a quiet, friendly and respectful environment
How are seniors matched with housemates?
We use a detailed compatibility questionnaire that considers daily routines, personality, sleep schedules, cleanliness level, social preferences, noise tolerance, pets, guest preferences, hobbies and lifestyle. Our goal is to create homes that feel peaceful, compatible and supportive.

What are your fees for matching and placement services?
The cost varies depending on size of bedroom, private vs shared bathroom, home location and amenities but is significantly more affordable than traditional independent living senior communities. Please explore our available listings which will include the price.

Residents maintain their own rooms and clean up after themselves in common areas.
Optional housekeeping services are available for an additional fee.
Some homes are pet-friendly. When allowed, pets must be pre-approved, housebroken, calm and friendly.

We encourage open, respectful communication. If needed, Elite Senior HomeShare will mediate. If unable to resolve, we will help coordinate a transition to a more suitable home.
Each applicant is required to pay a $40 fee for a background and credit check which is conducted through a third-party screening provider. Once a match is made, the renter pays a $200 placement fee and the homeowner pays the first month’s rent to Elite Senior HomeShare.
